He is survived by his wife, Marion (Brown) Staples; his children, Terry, and Juanita, Dana, and Julia, Robbi, and Jane, Jay, and Jim, Jon, and Diane, Bernie, and Deb, and Charles, and Debbie; two brothers, Bernard Staples, and Gloria, and Roger Staples, and Joyce; 15 special grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many friends, including special friend, Ken Sprague; several nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis Cobb Staples; and a sister, Norma. Rev. Jim Plourde officiated.       Phyllis C Staples

      FARMINGTON - Phyllis C Staples 83 of Farmington died Thursday afternoon at her home following a long illness. She was born Aug 3 1930 in Lee the daughter of Evan C and Edna (Pickering) Cobb She received her education In Lee schools and was a graduate of Lee Academy in 1948. In 1948 she married Avon W Staples in Lee moving to Farmington in 1968 where they owned and operated Perkins Motel for 24 years. Mrs. Staples was a seamstress and she enjoyed cooking and working far the kitchen 'She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She la survived by her husband Avon of Farmington one daughter Jay Leyden of North Yarmouth four sons Terry 8taples of Dexter Dana Staples of Wilton, Robbi Staples of Fairhaven, Mass and Jon Staples of Farmington She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Amy Summa Shannon Staples, Derek Guptill, Joseph Staples, Jennifer Leyden, Byron Staples, Jacob Staples, and Kathryn Leyden. She was predeceased by two brothers Norman Cobb and Lawrence Cobb
