    • History: According to her obituary, "She acquired her elementary education only 1/4 of a mile from her home in the South Platte River Valley. She graduated from Brule High School with the class of 1936. On July 3, 1936, she was united in marriage to Andrew Anderson in Gering. Their first home was on her grandfather Samuelson's ranch located in what is now known as Lake McConaughy in the North Platte River Valley. In 1940, they were forced to leave the Valley due to government condemnation of the land. They then moved to a ranch in Hayes County and later to Wauneta, where she remained until her death. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wauneta and the United Methodist Women."
