He was the son of Stephen Johnson Jr. and Betsey Rebecca Shepardson.1,2 On 1 January 1870 at Warwick, Massachusetts, Merrill married Elizabeth Rayner, daughter of Jacob Stone Rayner and Sabrina Woodward.2 Merrill B. Johnson and Elizabeth Rayner appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Warwick, Massachusetts.3 Merrill B. Johnson was employed by a boot shop in 1880 at Warwick, Massachusetts.3 On 26 July 1916 Merrill married Mary Nellie Delva, daughter of Calvin Wilder Delva and Lucy Maria Fuller.4,2,5 On 8 June 1918 Merrill married Ellen D. Kendrick.6 Merrill B. Johnson died on Sunday, 21 March 1926 at Winchester, New Hampshire, at age 76 years, 4 months and 14 days.7
