Ralph Waldo Johnson was born on 28 April 1888 at Warwick, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of William Emery Johnson and Nellie Augusta Hawkes.1,2 On 8 October 1914 Ralph married Carrie Louise Leavis.1,2 According to his obituary, "he was a member of the Congregational and Federated Church of Winchester and the Sunny Valley Club, a former member of the N.H. Farm Bureau and Arlington Grange, and had been a deputy forest fire warden. He had been a farmer and lumberman for many years retiring several years ago.2" Ralph Waldo Johnson died on Friday, 24 July 1964 at Winchester, New Hampshire, at the home of his son, Elmer, after a long illness, at age 76 years, 2 months and 26 days.1,2 The gravestone inscription at Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, Massachusetts, reads:
