     Alice Margaret Warner was born on 28 April 1918 at Orange, Massachusetts.1,2 She was the daughter of Edward Aiken Warner and Margaret C. McNamara.1,2 Alice Margaret Warner graduated in 1935 from Athol High School.2 She was employed by L.S. Starrett Company between 1936 and 1942.2 On 2 October 1942 at Athol, Massachusetts, Alice married Robert Elmer Whitney, son of Glenn Elmer Whitney and Eleanor F. Roberts.3 Alice Margaret Warner was worked with her husband at Whit's Diner between 1965 and 1973.2 According to her obituary, she was An enthusiastic homemaker who loved her family, she enjoyed swimming, walking, traveling and rug braiding.2" She died on Tuesday, 1 August 2000 at Heywood Hospital, Gardner, Massachusetts, at age 82 years, 3 months and 4 days from the effects of a stroke she suffered at her home on Saturday, 29 July 2000.4,2
