Robert Henry Bolza was born on 7 April 1915 at Pittsfield, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of Emil Bolza and Alma Herbst.1,2 Robert Henry Bolza was nick named Bob. He graduated in 1933 from Pittsfield High School.2 According to his obituary "Bolza was a retired senior vice president, treasurer and trustee of the former City Savings Bank of Pittsfield, now Legacy Banks. He began his banking career with the savings bank in 1931, while a high school student. He was employed at the bank for 44 years. A graduate of the School of Banking at Rutgers University, he served with the Army Air Corps Intelligence Service in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters during World War II, until his discharge with the rank of sergeant in 1945. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Pittsfield. A golfer, he was a longtime member of the Pittsfield Country Club, a 66-year member and past master of Crescent Lodge of Masons, A.F.& A.M., Pittsfield, and a former member of the Keene Country Club. He enjoyed reading and traveling. He lived in Pittsfield for 58 years, moving to the Keene area in 1975. He was a winter resident of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., for 24 years.2" He died on Friday, 18 April 2003 at Keene Center Genesis Eldercare, Keene, New Hampshire, at age 88 years and 11 days.2 Robert was buried on 17 May 2003 at Central Cemetery, Orange, Massachusetts.2
