He served in the Navy during World War II and after. On 25 April 1944 at Boston, Massachusetts, Norman married Rose Louise Bellino. In 1949, he was promoted to Lieutenant. LT Norman Charles Danforth died on Tuesday, 2 August 1966 at San Diego, California, at age 52 years, 11 months and 2 days.1
