Violet M. (Dill) Anderson
Violet M. Dill was born on 10 March 1908 at Orange, Massachusetts.1 She was the daughter of William C. Dill and Nettie Hallberg.1 Violet married Gordon Stanley Anderson.2 Violet M. Dill graduated in 1927 from Orange High School.1 According to her obiutary; "Before her marriage to Gordon S. "Stan" Anderson, she had worked at the former New Home Sewing Machine Company and later the Minute Tapioca Company, both in Orange. She and her husband owned and operated the Anderson Poultry Farm for 20 years. Stan died in 1987. An honorary member of the Warwick Volunteer Fire Department, she had served as a dispatcher for the fire department from 1954 to 1994. A member of the Warwick Women's Guild, she enjoyed cooking, baking, vegetable gardening, knitting, crocheting, and playing the organ as well as the piano. For many years, she was a summer resident of Pittsburg, NH.1" She lived on 10 January 2004 at Warwick, Massachusetts.2 She died on Saturday, 12 June 2004 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare Center, Athol, Massachusetts, at age 96 years, 3 months and 2 days.1 Violet was buried on 26 June 2004 at Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, Massachusetts.1
