     Sarah Ruth Delvy was born on 25 June 1833 at Warwick, Massachusetts.1,2,3,5 She was the daughter of Peter Delvy and Ruth Carter.1,2,3,4 Sarah Ruth Delvy moved to Gill with her parents when she was two years old in 1834. On 25 June 1850 at Gill, Massachusetts, Sarah married Charles R. Simonds, son of Samuel H. Simonds and Harriet Hale. Allred (2002) gives their marriage place as Northfield.6,7,2,5 On 3 October 1860 Sarah married Lorenzo West.2,3,5 Sarah Ruth Delvy and Lorenzo West appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Petersham, Massachusetts.8 Sarah Ruth Delvy died on Monday, 25 July 1910 at Barre, Massachusetts, at age 77 years and 1 month at the home of her son, George.5,4
