Allred (2002) gives their marriage place as Northfield.1,4,3,2 Charles R. Simonds died on Wednesday, 18 May 1859 at Northfield, Massachusetts, at age 32 years, 6 months and 3 days.3,5,2 The gravestone inscription at Old Cemetery, Northfield, Massachusetts, reads:
