     [Tribe of Peter]. George Russell Simonds was born on 2 April 1852 at Northfield, Massachusetts. He was the son of Charles R. Simonds and Sarah Ruth Delvy.1,2,3 On 30 May 1874 George married Lydia Amelia Lyons, daughter of Elvin Draper Lyons and Penelope B. Wright. All of their children died in infancy.3,4 George Russell Simonds lived about 1875 at Barre, Massachusetts. He and Lydia Amelia Lyons appeared on the US Census of 1880 at New Salem, Massachusetts.5 George Russell Simonds and Lydia Amelia Lyons moved to Barre, Massachusetts, in 1882.4 George Russell Simonds was a florist in 1907 at Barre, Massachusetts.2 He served as a Representative to the Massachusetts General Court.2 He died on Tuesday, 14 December 1920 at Monson, Massachusetts, at age 68 years, 8 months and 12 days.6
