Emma and her husband lived on a farm in Murry, Nebraska until 1914, when they moved to another farm in Hartington, Nebraska. In 1944, they retired, and moved to Yankton, South Dakota.5 Emma Belle Boardman died on Wednesday, 7 June 1978 at Yankton, Yankton County, South Dakota, at age 88 years, 8 months and 26 days.2,1,3 Emma and Levy Price Slagle were buried on 11 June 1978 at Aten Cemetery, Aten, Cedar County, Nebraska.6,4
