     Louise Christena Kast was born on 9 July 1912 at Fordyce, Cedar County, Nebraska.1 She was the daughter of Joseph Kast and Theresa Holtzbaur.1 On 1 May 1935 at Menominee, Cedar County, Nebraska, Louise married David Franklin Slagle, son of Levy Price Slagle and Emma Belle Boardman.2,1 According to her obituary, "She grew up in the Fordyce and Menominee areas and attended Menominee Catholic school. She married David Slagle May 1, 1935, at Menominee, Neb., and together they farmed for many years in the Yankton, Meckling and Beresford areas. They moved to Yankton in 1962. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Yankton. She loved to dance and she and David continued to dance well into their 80s.1" Louise Christena Kast died on Thursday, 27 November 2003 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, Yankton County, South Dakota, at age 91 years, 4 months and 18 days.1 Louise was buried on 2 December 2003 at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Yankton, Yankton County, South Dakota.1
