     Lydia Amelia Lyons was born on 9 November 1848 at Gill, Massachusetts.2,3,1 She was the daughter of Elvin Draper Lyons and Penelope B. Wright.1 On 30 May 1874 Lydia married George Russell Simonds, son of Charles R. Simonds and Sarah Ruth Delvy. All of their children died in infancy.3,1 Lydia Amelia Lyons and George Russell Simonds appeared on the US Census of 1880 at New Salem, Massachusetts.2 Lydia Amelia Lyons and George Russell Simonds moved to Barre, Massachusetts, in 1882.1 Lydia Amelia Lyons died on Wednesday, 22 January 1919 at Barre, Massachusetts, at age 70 years, 2 months and 13 days of influenza.4
