[Tribe of Peter]. Edgar Dorus Bascom was born on 24 August 1892. He was the son of Dorus A. Bascom and Eliza Maria Delvy.1 Edgar Dorus Bascom lived at North Abington, Massachusetts; Later they lived in Canada for several years. He began military service in 1917; He served as a Lieutenant in the 101st Infantry in the American Expediency Force. He was killed in action on 24 October 1918 at France at age 26. His name appears on the World War I memorial in North Abington with a gold star.1
