According to her obituary, "She had a delightful collection of toy stuffed owls.3" Gertrude Evelyn Knight died on Thursday, 11 September 2008 at Peterborough, New Hampshire, at age 94 years, 5 months and 6 days.3 Gertrude was buried at Quabbin Park Cemetery, Ware, Massachusetts.
