Ruth and Leo met when Ruth was 13 years old, and they wed the day after she turned 18.2 Ruth Hoffman was born at Texas.1 She was the daughter of Stephen Charles Ballou.1 In May 2000, she suffered a stroke leaving her unable to communicate or take care of herself.2 Ruth Hoffman died in March 2002.3
