Florence Combs was born on 15 October 1864.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Combs and Martha Jane Johnston.1 Florence and her family crossed the plains from Missouri in covered waggons in a trip that took three months.1 Florence Combs was listed in the household of Martha Jane Johnston in 1880 US Census at Whitman, Washington.3 On 20 February 1887 at St. Johns, Washington, Florence married Alvin Hockett, son of Henry Hockett and Emily Caroline Delvee.2 Florence Combs died on Friday, 3 April 1942 at Spokane, Spokane County, Washington, at age 77 years, 5 months and 19 days.2 Florence was buried at Fairmont Cemetery, Spokane, Spokane County, Washington.1
