Bolton was born on 21 October 1903.1 He was the son of Charles Herbert Bolton and Lena Barrows.1 On 22 June 1932 at Bernardston, Massachusetts, Edward married Ruth Irene Whitaker, daughter of Charles Herbert Whitaker and Orra May Hale.1,2,3 Edward C. Bolton died on Sunday, 24 August 1986 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, at age 82 years, 10 months and 3 days.4,1,5 Edward was buried at South Parish Cemetery.4
