Kenneth Leonidas Miller

     [Tribe of Peter]. Kenneth Leonidas Miller was born on 7 August 1918 at Northfield, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Leon Clark Miller and Lula Mossie Hale. On 4 October 1940 at Northfield Farms, Northfield, Massachusetts, Kenneth married Velma I. Shearer.¹ According to his obituary: "A well-known auctioneer, owning Ken Miller and Son Auctioneers, he ran auctions and flea markets for many years beginning in 1949. He was previously employed by Central Vermont Railroad, O'Neil Paper Company, Greenfield Tap and Die Corporation, Millers Falls Tool Company and The Northfield Seminary. He served the town of Northfield as road commissioner for 10 years. He was a member of Harmony Lodge of Masons in Northfield, Ducks Unlimited, he played softball for the Finnegans and Mulligans, a team of the Northfield Seminary. He had served as a coach for the Northfield Little League and umpired baseball games. He and his son, Kenny, owned and raced harness race horses. He did volunteer auctioning and was an avid Red Sox fan. He had served as a member of the parish committee and trustee of the First Parish Unitarian Church of Northfield.¹" Kenneth Leonidas Miller died on Tuesday, 29 September 1998 at Franklin County Medical Center, Greenfield, Massachusetts, at age 80 years, 1 month and 22 days.¹ Kenneth was buried on 3 October 1998 at th Farms Cemtery, Northfield, Massachusetts.¹
