Richard Clifton Whitney was born on 28 February 1935 at Vernon, Vermont.1 He was the son of Norman Ernest Whitney and Helen Bushnell.1 On 11 September 1954 at Greenfield, Massachusetts, Richard married Joanne Gray.1 Richard married Jamal Salem.1 According to his obituary, "As a teenager, he was employed at the former Northfield Inn. Later, Richard worked for his father's business, Northfield Milk Transportation. He joined the Bud Beck Pontiac Co. and served as head service manager for over 26 years. Richard enjoyed home remodeling and had his own business as a hobby during his retirement years."1 Richard Clifton Whitney died on Tuesday, 19 December 2006 at Banner Hospital, Mesa, Arizona, at age 71 years, 9 months and 21 days.1
