Fred Spear Delvey was born on 28 July 1868 at Warwick, Massachusetts.^3,2,4 He was the son of Luke Delvey and Lovice Adelaide Spear.^1,2 Fred Spear Delvey was listed in the household of Luke Delvey and Lovice Adelaide Spear in 1880 US Census at Warwick, Massachusetts.⁵ On 24 September 1894 at Warwick, Massachusetts, Fred married Christine Emeline Maynard, daughter of Gilbert Maynard and Clara Gertrude Cushman. Allred (2002) gives their marraige place as Waltham.^6,3,2,4 Fred Spear Delvey died on Monday, 19 June 1916 at Brattleboro Hospital, Brattleboro, Vermont, at age 47 years, 10 months and 22 days.^3,2,7,4 The gravestone inscription at Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, Massachusetts, reads:
