George Harding
     George Harding was born on 17 December 1837 at Barre, Massachusetts.1,5,2,3,4 He was the son of Alpheus Harding and Catharine Muzzy Wheeler.1,2,3,4 On 1 June 1859 at Warwick, Massachusetts, George married Ruth Melinda Delvey, daughter of Joseph Delvee and Mary Ann Wheaton.6,1,3,7,4 George Harding was a carpenter. He and Ruth Melinda Delvey appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Warwick, Massachusetts.8 George Harding lived in 1894 at Orange, Massachusetts.9 He was employed by G.H. Lawrence in 1894 at Orange, Massachusetts.9 He died on Monday, 25 April 1910 at Orange, Massachusetts, at age 72 years, 4 months and 8 days of a paralytic stroke.1,5,3,10 George was buried on 29 April 1910 at Riverside Cemetery, Barre, Massachusetts. According to his obituary, "During his fathers last illness he and his wife came here [Barre] to care for him, remaining a considerable period and then returning to Orange. Mr. harding is favorably remembered by many of our citizens in both his earlier days and when here to care for his father. He was social, companionable, well-informed and well liked.1"
