Elise Whitney
     Elise Berenice Regnier was born on 1 July 1886 at Lenox, Massachusetts.1 She was the daughter of Joseph Regnier and Mary Bernice Duclos.1 Elise Berenice Regnier lived on 1 May 1921 at 16 Russell Terrace, Pittsfield, Massachusetts.1 On 2 May 1921 at Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Elise married Harding Wheeler Whitney, son of Elmer Derby Whitney and Grace Idella Harding. Performed by L.J. Achim, Pittsfield, Clergyman.2,1 Jeane Muse (2000) said of her, "Elise was a tiny woman of about 4'8" tall. Even though she suffered from crippling arthritis, she was able to hand-crochet many beautiful table linens and doilies which are still being enjoyed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren today.1" Elise Berenice Regnier died on Thursday, 13 January 1966 at Hollywood, Broward County, Florida, at age 79 years, 6 months and 12 days.1 She was buried at Pittsfield, Massachusetts.1
