Simon Peter Shepardson was born on 11 March 1819 at Warwick, Massachusetts.4,1,2 He was the son of Jonathan Shepardson and Hannah Delvee.1,2,3 Simon and Sarah Caroline Trim's marriage intentions were filed on 30 December 1843 at Warwick, Massachusetts.1,5,2 Simon married Esther E Alexander.6 On 17 January 1876 at Ingham, Michigan, Simon married Ellen Rassman.1 Simon Peter Shepardson and Ellen Rassman appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Springport, Michigan.7 Simon Peter Shepardson died on Saturday, 13 June 1896 at Onondaga, Michigan, at age 77 years, 3 months and 2 days. The Delvee records give his death as in Springfield, Jackson County, Michigan.1,3 Allred (2002) has Simon Peter marrying Esther E. Alexander, the daughter of Elisha Brown and Mary (Brown) Alexander on 2 January 1867. Esther was on 1 February 1822 in Leyden, Massachusetts. She was buried in Beaver Meadow Cemetery, Leyden, Massachusetts. This would make Simon Peter having two wives at one time. Is there another Simon Peter?2
