     William S. Shepardson was born on 23 February 1853 at Warwick, Massachusetts.1,2,3 He was the son of Simon Peter Shepardson and Sarah Caroline Trim.1,2,3 William S. Shepardson appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Warwick, Massachusetts, in the household of David and Hattie Wyman.4 On 10 January 1885 William married Ellen F. Templeton, daughter of Major Robinson Templeton and Olivia Bell Jones.1,3 William S. Shepardson died in November 1933 at age 80 years and 8 months while traveling to California by the water route through the Pannama Canal. He was with his son, who had just graduated from medical college and was relocating in California to start his practice.1,5 William was buried at at sea.5
