Text ORANGE, MA - David Prentiss Williams, 75, an almost lifelong resident of Orange died suddenly at the Benoit home on Friday October 21, 2022.

He was the son of the late Gordon E. and Jean F. Prentiss Williams Hanlon. David graduated Ralph C. Mahar Regional High School Class of 1965 and afterwards joined the U.S. Air Force serving in Arizona.

David enjoyed being outside, watching plants grow from seed, and word games. In his later years he worked on word puzzles from the NY Times with fellow friends at the North Quabbin Clubhouse, and tracing his family genealogy back to Peter Delvee of Warwick c.1760. But his most selfless act was that of being an organ donor after his death.

David leaves behind his dedicated and beloved caregivers Jonathan and Heather Benoit; a few cousins as well as all the staff and friends at the North Quabbin Clubhouse.

David was a member of the Delvee Family Association.

    There are no calling hours.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 2 p.m. in Central Cemetery, Grove Street, Orange.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to the Peter Delvee Family Fund, 567 Pleasant St, Athol MA 01331

Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is assisting the family.
