    • Birth: Allard (2002) gives the date as 6 May 1817. Patterson (1995) and Hockett (2002) give his birth date as 6 June 1817. [7, 13, 16]
    • Burial Place: Several cemeteries in Bates County were assigned incorrect names during the 1980’s and these names were again used by researchers without verification of their accuracy. Additionally, some cemeteries have truly changed names over the years.
