  WARWICK, MA - Brent F. Walker, 50, of Wendell Road, died on Wednesday morning, January 4, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer, with loved ones at his side. Born in Greenfield on July 11, 1972, he was the son of Douglas and Barbara (Johnson) Walker. He attended Pioneer Valley Regional and graduated from Franklin County Technical School. Brent was employed at Johnson's Farm Restaurant until it closed. He had previously worked for Adams Doughnuts and Horizon Beverage Company. Brent was a son, brother, amazing father, special uncle and nephew. He was a generous and loyal friend with a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He loved a good time and always loved his gatherings for family events or parties with friends. He had beautiful blue eyes and a infectious laugh, "Brentski" enjoyed going to Herrick's Tavern, playing Keno and loved lobster. Brent served on the Warwick Fire Department for a number of years. With a love of cooking and baking, Brent would deliver his baked goods to family and friends. His special relatives and friends would receive a giant chocolate chip cookie for their birthday. Brent enjoyed kayaking with his son, karaoke parties, trips to Maine, going for rides, and his dog "Jack". Brent is survived by his son, Benjamin; his mother, Barbara Johnson Walker; his father, Doug Walker (Mary); brothers, Shawn Walker (Jenn), Scott Walker, Brad Walker (Bethany), and Shane Smart (Danielle); nephews and nieces, Kelsey, Lily, Stephanie, Bryan, Austin and Sofia. He also leaves his step siblings, BJ Guerin, Kim Guerin (Derrick Robideau), Michelle Guerin (George); many aunts, uncles and cousins; along with the mother of his son, Paula Walker. Brent also leaves many friends including his BFF's and caretakers, Ron and Lori Gates and Michael. There are no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held on January 16, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Metcalf Memorial Chapel, 32 Athol Road, Warwick, MA, with Rev. Dan Dibble officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brent's memory can be made to the Warwick Firemen's Association, 1 Hastings Pond Road, Warwick, MA 01378.
